Agree on What Is Included
Confirm whether pumping, wash-down, access excavation and disposal are in the proposal. A cleaning-only price does not automatically include a separate pump-out. Deep cleaning and wall jetting are add-ons when suitable.
Use the Right Method for the Tank
Damaged walls, aging partitions and leaking seams should be assessed before aggressive cleaning. The right method protects the tank. High pressure is not the answer to every deposit.
Look at the Outlet
A clogged filter or damaged baffle can cause recurring trouble even when the tank has been cleaned. Accessible outlet parts deserve attention, with damaged components assessed as a separate repair.
Protect Advanced Treatment
Identify the actual treatment model and its service instructions. Do not disturb media or powered equipment with a general cleaning method. An aerator or a cleaning visit is not proof that a nitrogen-reducing system meets its permit requirements.
Commercial Waste Needs a Defined Scope
Describe domestic sewage, grease-interceptor waste and operating needs separately. Volume, access, waste strength and approved disposal affect the work. Solvents and industrial chemicals do not belong in a household septic system.
